Barcelona lose again, as the Madrid sides close the gap.

Barcelona have lost another match in the run in for the La Liga title. A trophy that looked comfortably theirs only a month ago.

The Catalans have let a 10 point lead slip with defeats to arch rivals Real Madrid, Real Sociedad and Valencia last night. Two of which have come at the Nou Camp.

Last night saw Barca lose their fourth game in five matches, by missing a catalogue of chances.
Messi, Suarez and Neymar all missed golden opportunities in the first half.

Before Pique then missed a sitter in the 87th minute to draw his side level.

The only good element to their performance was Lionel Messi scoring his 500th career goal. But even he couldn’t save his side last night.

Real Madrid and Atletico have been consistent of late, with a string of victories to take advantage of Barcelona’s dip in form and bring them within touching distance of the Catalan side.
Up next for Barca is a difficult away trip to Deportivo, but win that and the league should theoretically be theirs. Mainly due to an easier run in than both of the Madrid teams, including the fact that Real and Atletico are still in the Champions League.
A treble that looked seemingly likely a few weeks ago has gone, but a Spanish double is still on the horizon so long as Barca hold their nerve and dramatically improve their current run of results.
La Liga Prediction:
1 – Real Madrid
2 – Barcelona

3 – Atletico

Champions League:

Champions: Bayern Munich

Runners Up: Real Madrid

Copa Del Rey: Barcelona
